Community Giving Project

For this project, two partners and I worked with our high school’s band and the community to create a charity drive for a local oncology center. In this project, we gathered band members to play Christmas carols for the patients and doctors while we gave patients care packages that included blankets made by the community and other items donated by local businesses. This project and corresponding presentation led us to second place in the state and qualification in international competition.

Creative Marketing Project

In this project, I worked with two others to organize, market, and execute a 5k color run that served as a fundraiser for a local women’s shelter that helps provide housing for women and children in abusive homes. This paper and the corresponding presentation led my team to third place in the state and qualification in international competition.

Project Yellow

Due to unforeseen circumstances, I was never able to compete with this project. However, my team and I were able to execute “Yellow Day” at our school. This event included getting the student body to dress in yellow, contribute to the wall of positivity and giving out free wristbands. The project was dedicated to increasing awareness of mental health, reducing the stigma around it and contribute to suicide prevention.
